Playing Ball with the Grizzlies at the Zoo

This was the funniest thing I had ever seen at the zoo. The big grizzly bear was down by the water when we walked up to the window. He did a dive bomb into the pool and started "playing ball" with both kids. It really seemed as if he was throwing the ball and trying to play with each of them, taking turns who he swam up to and threw the ball too. This went on for at least 15 mintues.

Playing Dress Up

I was cleaning out some of Lance's old ties and belts from his closet and the kids spontaneously started playing dress up. I'm having one of these pics blown up for Lance for Father's Day and letting the kids "paint" it for him.

Gorillas, Monkeys - and Chimpanzees

For those of you who didn't know, we visit the zoo often because Asher, at a very early age, loved going to see the chimps and gorillas. When we pray at a meal or at night, the first thing out of his mouth when we say "Thank you Jesus for......" is "gorillas and monkeys". Very few times since he could speak has anything ranked above those two. Giya has a new affection for the chimpanzees also. We spend so much time there that a few of the favorites chimps come over to the glass to say "hello" and have also given "kisses" to the glass at both kids. This chimp above is names Marbles and Asher frequently "dances" with him through the glass. He came over and was talking this day.
