One more pic of Oklahoma cousins

Whole Gang in Atlanta after Christmas

We're not even kidding about the whole gang thing - my dad's sister and her husband were driving through to FL, so they stopped in for a few days and my mom's sister and husband flew in from the Quad Cities to see their grandnieces they hadn't met yet. Jill is a SAINT for hosting so many people in her house. It was nuts.

Oklahoma Cousins

I think the kids got to see every cousin from both sides of the family except for one in a two week time period. That has to be a record since they live all over the country and globe. These are the "older" cousins from Oklahoma coming in during their college breaks. Sean, his fiance, Amanda (getting married this May) and Kelly (sorry we missed you Eric). This is the second annual Winter Break trip they have made to see us and the kids and WE LOVE IT!!

More road trip pictures - cousins

Asher was less than enthusiastic and shy about singing (which is odd for him), but Giya holds nothing back and tries to keep up with her cousin Ellie singing some High School Musical song while playing Wii.

The road trip

Although there were less grown-up toys in Atlanta, the cousins had a great time and they loved taking care of baby Evie. Jill and Greg also have a Wii, so the driving game continued for Asher.

The kids could have stayed forever in Cornelia with their cousins, because they have a toy - meca play area in the basement complete with a soccer goal, roller blades and a unicycle. The also just got a Wii and Asher got his first taste of playing a driving game - his favorite.

Lance said the kids did better this trip than the long trip we took this summer, but for me it was debateable.....or the fact that we went 6 hours less than this summer made Lance feel better, who knows. Overall, no blood loss, severed arms, etc. Just a few inconspicuous stops in the backwoods of MO for the boys to pee in the weeds and for Giya to pee on the portable folding potty seat over a gold foil egg shaped box that we found in the car - there were no bathrooms in sight. She finally went the second time we coaxed her because I let her play with the rocks from the gravel road by the pasture where we were pottying.

Christmas Day

Christmas was a little crazy for us this year. Grammie and Grandpa came for the day and then we packed up everything (but the tree) and drove to Cornelia, GA to stay with Lance's brother and family then 3 days later to Atlanta, GA to see the whole Perkins clan.

Singing First Time in Church

This is Asher's debut for singing in church service on Christmas Eve. They sang Away in a Manger, some bell song I had never heard before and Happy Birthday to Jesus. The bell song got pretty hysterical.
