Asher's Singing Program at School

A sample of one of the songs Asher's class sang at the Spring Program at school last week. He did a great job and we have so loved and enjoyed the school he went to this year. His teachers were fabulous and on fire for Jesus in every way.

Cinderella

We checked out Cinderella from the library last week when Lance was out of town. The kids were both captivated by it. Giya always liked her pretend jewelry and tiaras, but it sure is heightened now. If I could have only had a camera on her when the two wicked step sisters tore Cinderella's first dress (before fairy godmother came)....she was crushed.

Also, after the movie, Asher said sheepishly, "I like Cinderella". Adding to one of the previous blog entries, now when we talk about the weddings, or his future wife, he adds in things about being a prince and God picking out Cinderella for him.

Easter Sunday

The day before went much better than this day......but we just had to take pictures didn't we mom......do I never learn?"

Easter Egg Hunts

Snow and ice in March

Just like Kansas to be 80 degrees one day and then snow/ice the next. All the trees were in bloom and our tulips had been up for weeks, then this happened. The kids loved it!

Asher trying on tux for weddings

He is really looking forward to dressing just like his cousin Sean. All this talk about a wedding and bride and groom had his little 4 year old brain working. He announced one day that he and Giya were going to dress up and get married. So I had to - in 4 year old words- tell him that he needed to be much older and that God would pick his wife and it wouldn't be Giya. He could help me pray for a wife someday. Now everytime anyone mentions a wedding or the tux, he tells them that God is picking out his wife. I sure hope he doesn't expect this new wife to be at one of the weddings this summer waiting for him......

Flower Girl Dresses

Giya and Asher are in two weddings this summer - the cousins in May and our friend Ashley's in July. Here are some photos of Giya trying on dresses - she really normally like this kind of thing and wants to "twirl" and dance. But, as you can see, she is reminding me that you can't predict a two year old's behavior. Hopefully its out of her system and won't do this on the wedding day.

Giya wants to be just like him

Here Giya is trying to be just like her brother - nothing scares this little one.

Asher's Birthday

He also got a "new" scooter, but this one has two back wheels, so it is easier to balance. He can go all the way to the mailbox, but gets tired coming back. Its hilarious to watch because he puts his weight on the outside foot (the pusher) and sticks his butt way out to balance.

Asher got a big boy bike for his birthday and a new helmet and knee pads. He is getting better, but really like to default back to the tricycle because he can go "super fast" on it.
